VMB4000 base Pro2 cameras

Hello....
I have a VMB4000 base station connected to two Pro2 cameras and a doorbell. I am not able to record with the doorbell for some reason as I am with the cameras.

I am wanting to add new cameras; not sure which model, yet.

I need to know that if I add new cameras, even with a base, will I need to get an Arlo subscription plan in order to record and view history? I can currently record, keeping the recordings for seven days. The doorbell does not provide this. I am assuming because the doorbell is a recent model, that I need a subscription plan to have recordings.

Correct. All the currently sold cameras (including doorbells) require a subscription for cloud recording.
