Arlo will keep sending alerts, even if I disable alerts, they somehow get set back on

Starting last night, my arlo baby ABC1000 started recording videos on audio and video alerts.
I had those disabled, but they kind of self-activated.

If I go on the app and disable them, they self re-enable. I tick the checkbox off and after a minute... boom, it's back on and I am getting a ton of alerts on my phone, and I have to spend 5 minutes deleting all the unwanted recordings.

This has happened before, and if I recall correctly, it was fixed by a software update.
