My brand new $399 AUD Arlo Baby is painfully slow.

It is connected to the same WiFi as my iPhone, yet the home icon does not show.

It actually seems to work better if I turn the WiFi on my phone OFF...

Not the router, but a good possibility if your data thru-put is low... these cams can peak at >1.5Mbs.

If things on your phone work better with wifi off ie. using data only, then there is a problem with your wifi at the location where you are trying to use it. This would have nothig to do with the Arlo baby. Have you tried doing a speedtest by plugging a computer directly into your router using an ethernet cable?

What is the wifi signal strength in the room and the same position where the camera is located. Hold your phone nearby and redo the speedtest.

I assume you're doing the reset correctly?

A new Arlo Baby firmware was just released. Make sure your Arlo Baby is up to date on the latest firmware and test again to see if you are still experiencing the same behavior.
