&lt;P&gt;There is a speaker built into the doorbell. Depending on how you want to use it will determine if you need wiring to it or need to purchase the chime separately. If you have an older mechanical chime and wish only to replace the doorbell button with this one then you will need to unhook the wiring from the old button and hook them up to the Arlo doorbell, (be sure to remove the power to the doorbell at the circuit breaker first as you can get quite a nasty shock). If you wish to use the doorbell on battery power, then you need to purchase the Arlo Chime separately.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have an extra camera and am looking into the ARLO Camera doorbell.&amp;nbsp; I like the idea of being able to speak as well.&amp;nbsp; Is the speaker included in the door bell?&amp;nbsp; Is this yet another purchase?&amp;nbsp; Has anyone had any problems with this product?&amp;nbsp; is any wiring necessary?&amp;nbsp; Thanks In advance.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
