Do I need a base station with the Audio Doorbell/Chime

I already have a camera security system (not through Arlo). So I don't want a video doorbell.

If I get the Arlo Audio, can I use my own chime?

Do I need a base station, if the arlo audio and arlo audio doorbell will be standalone devices?

What are the minimum devices I need? An Arlo Audio Doorbell, and Arlo Chime?

Is the Base Station required to work with Alexa? That is not important to me.

A. You will need a SmartHub or Base Station to utilize an Arlo audio doorbell or chime.

Q. If I get the Arlo Audio, can I use my own chime?

Can I use my own mp3 chime, and configure that?

Also, can I connect one Arlo Audio Doorbell to multiple Arlo Chimes?

I want to spread out the Chimes throughout the house, to different areas.

You will not be able to use your own mp3 chime. You can use two audio doorbells & 5 chimes with a Base Station or SmartHub.
