The OEM (Energizer) batteries lasted 6 month in mild temperatures in Indianapolis. I replaced (3) sets of batteries (Tenergy) on December 25, 2015 and two weeks later all three are reporting low batteries. What is the Netgear recommended brand of CR123 battery?

Firmware version: 2.0.0.724_11294

I have had my cameras since August of 2015 and I am about to replace the batteries for the third time.

This is getting expensive!!

I suspect that the use of the infrared lights contributes significantly to the power consumption.

I am going to try out one set of rechargables using a brand recommended by a local camera shop. I am also investigating installing stand-alone infrared flood lights/emitters.

At this time, I won't be recommending the product to anyone until I have tested both rechargable batteries and infrared emitters.

As an addition to my comments above, I will say that I checked the voltage on the replacements.

One was low and the supplier replaced it.

If comments are made on the life of batteries, it is important to know their voltage state on fitment.
